One of the absolutely worst experiences of my life.

Booked their services for a surprise birthday trip to Ghana for my husband .

First thing I noticed was that I was never given hotel options like other agencies they just gave me a standard package.

I have travelled to Ghana multiple times and normally stay in Accra, the hotel on the package was in Volta. It was intially a red flag for me but after checking the reviews and speaking to their agent, she assured me that the hotel was nice and serene and in my head am like ok fine something different why not 🤷🏾‍♀️

We travelled during this covid period and they were completely clueless about some covid information when you arrive in Ghana I basically had to continue updating them about the covid changes in Ghana.

Till when we arrived in Ghana , I was never given the itenary and phone number of the driver to pick us up. I kept sending several messages till I eventually got it .

Upon arrival I get a message that the tour, which is part of what I paid for has to be immediately we land and am confused 😐 who books a tour immediately people
Land I would assume we relax and freshen up.

No worries we go on this “tour” and after about 30mins and are done are ready to head to the hotel.

Intially I was made to believe that the hotel was about an hour or 2 from Accra which was still fine.

Only for us to find out that they booked us in a hotel 4 freaking hours from the airport meaning it took us longer to get to the hotel than our flight from Lagos to Ghana.

To make matters worse they booked our return flight from Ghana at 6.44 am meaning we had to leave the airport at 2 am on a deserted and unsafe road to get to the airport the day we were scheduled back.

Who does that!

We couldn’t even stay in the hotel as the standard wasn’t up to anything. Of course the surprise was ruined and he was livid . For our own safety and since they hadn’t confirmed moving our return flight, we followed the driver back to Accra and had to book another hotel and spend more money.

To say I am upset is an understatement I got their details from a friend and because of their ads on Classic FM.

All I can say is that their service is horrible, in all fairness their agent who worked with us actually tried her best but it was obvious the issues were from high up and her hands were tired.

They seem to only give good services to people they know and celebrities.

I would advise not to use Wontra they are extremely unprofessional and a waste of time and effort!
